IZO DOM d.o.o. is a company with many years of experience, specializing in waterproofing works. The works we perform are waterproofing of flat passable and impassable roofs, waterproofing of basements, waterproofing of balconies and terraces, and other works.
We cooperate with well-known material manufacturers such as SIKA, BAUDER, MAPEI, BUSSCHER HOFFMAN, and others.
With many years of experience, we strive to use only the highest quality products offered in our market. Some of the materials we use when performing works are PVC, TPO, and FPO roofing membranes, polymer cement coatings, bitumen strips, etc.
When contracting works, we thoroughly and professionally analyze your project or problem and try to find quality and effective technical solutions that meet the quality and longevity of the facilities and thus the satisfaction of our clients.
Recently, we are witnessing weather extremes, which are getting stronger every year, such as strong storms, gusts of wind, snow, and high summer temperatures, which has a negative impact on the longevity of waterproofing layers, so it is important to assess how to determine and install layers to extend the life of the roof.
In practice, Investors, in agreement with the architects, choose the type of material for waterproofing works, limited by the costs of performing other works, and this is where the problem can sometimes arise at the very beginning of construction.
If only the price is looked at during the works, and cheap or even unsuitable materials are chosen, the costs of rehabilitation can become far more expensive.
That is why we suggest that you contact us and we will be happy to answer you with an offer as soon as possible and, if necessary, go out on the field.
The impassable ballast roof with river gravel is the same in its cross-section as the exposed flat impassable roof, with the proviso that the ballast type of impassable roof has natural gravel (pebble) as the final layer.
Cross section of this type of roof:
- AB construction, subsequently falling cement screed or falling styrofoam
- steam dam
- thermal insulation -XPS, EPS or PIR
- polypropylene geotextile as a separating layer
- PVC, TPO or FPO ballast roofing membrane
- protective-drainage layer
- roof gravel (pebble).
It is important to point out that pitched roofs of flat roofs should be a minimum of 1%
PVC, TPO or FPO ballast roofing membranes should be extremely resistant to chemical elements, aggressive airborne compounds, resistant to bacteria and algae. Roof membranes should be a minimum of 1.5 mm to 2.0 mm thick.
Roof gravel should be rounded (pebble), granulation 16 - 32 mm, with an average coating thickness of 6 cm.
The through roof would have the same layers as the previous one, except for the roof gravel, provided that cement screed and polymer-cement two-component waterproofing and finally ceramics are performed.
When the roof membrane is installed, a water test must be performed!
